Through our Curious Routes journey we have encountered many people and organisations along the way. Franco, one of our participants, got involved with Curious Routes a few years back while he was caring for his wife. As part of his support, Care for Carers became really important through his time. We invited them to an event at Suntrap back in September 2022. He knew that there would be individuals, similar to what he had gone through, who would have been in same situation to himself and he wanted to recognise that. 

In February 2023 we worked closely with Care for Carers and wanted to offer creative sessions that could be a support of individuals who are experiencing what Franco had gone through.

Through our past experience of using Suntrap studios as our haven during lockdown and the goodwill and creative experience of Robert there, it seemed the perfect place to create this unique opportunity. 

So eight individuals, who are carers in many different situations, embarked on a series of drawing and printmaking workshops. This is one of those sessions where artist Hetty Haxworth did a mono printmaking workshop with the group.
