We were looking for a place where we can work on the new sculpture. In June, July and August 2019, our two-weekly sessions took place at The Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, where we could get a lot work done using the metal workshop and education space. First, we did a day of metal work with technician Joe Etchell to finish the sculpture’s armature.

Everyone had a go at cutting, drilling, bending and welding

As usual, teamwork is key! We continued to work on the base and stem of the flower so they are modular and easy to assemble and disassemble.
