Inspired by Adele’s striking drawings and thinking about how you could use design/drawing on a much larger scale we went to visit Ciara Phillips’ Every Woman, co-commissioned by Edinburgh Art Festival and 14-18 NOW (the fourth in a series of dazzle ship artworks developed by contemporary artists to commemorate the First World War).

We were interested in going to see this and thought the design would be really impressive. The guys were unfortunately relatively unimpressed by the design and it was docked quite far away, so you couldn’t get very close to it. We thought it could have been better engaged with the community than it seemed to be and we didn’t like the idea it would turn into a bespoke hotel. A wee bit disappointed all around.
