Open Air Theatre

Lee suggested visiting Braidburn open air theatre to check out the space perhaps as a venue we might look at for a public event, film screening, cooking etc. (Dave’s soups and blankets….)

Lee has also been hoping to set up a Badminton game, Alex wanted to cook a Portuguese inspired rice dish for lunch he’s been meaning to try.  Donna introduced us to a way of thinking about collective storytelling. On a double sided note card, on one side was written HOW DO YOU TAKE YOUR TEA? and on the back was A TIME YOU SHARED YOUR TEA (WITH EITHER SOMEONE , A PLACE, OR A MEMORY AROUND TEA THAT SPRINGS TO MIND). The stories were originally anonymous and people read other’s stories, then we tried to identity who’s stories might be whose.

With artist Kevin McPhee we have been thinking around how you could use a space like this for an event to showcase people’s interests and invite other’s (perhaps people who are isolated in the community) to participate.
